I use bebo, but only because my mates use it.

I moved away from my hometown a few years back. With work commitments and family i dont get time to see my friends. So i use bebo to keep in contact with them all.

Other than the odd chat with friends i dont really use it that much.

BEWARE OF UNKNOWN INVITES FROM FACEBOOK

I keep getting invites from people on facebook I dont know.....turns out that scumbag hackers are sending out invites that are loaded with a virus that attacks your pc and uses your contacts list to pass on another virus, and the killer part is it looks like you sent it so your friends will kost likely accept it.
Lenny if facebook is added to the site I for one wont touch it, Bebo is just as bad

I use facebook and it's great.

By setting up an Airgunscotland Group on there you immediately get around the problems mentioned above re: viruses. Besides, don't accept invites from people you don't know, surely?!

Social Networking is the way of the future.

Yeah just like it's not a good idea to open e-mails from unknown addresses.

facebook isn't an alternative to here, maybe in addition, promotion? You can't have a proper forum on the likes of facebook, it's slow and clunky, way too unstructured..

The new version of this board wil have facebook integration though, part of it's long feature update list! :-)

The facebook invite comes from a friends pc thats been infected, and sends out the invite from your pc so that your friends think it has come from you and you accept it because you think its someone you know and trust...........and i have just deleted my sons bebo as it was hacked and some sick fcuk put dodgy pics on it. most people i know have had simular problems on these networking sites, many have never had any trouble at all. I dont like them, and i second the motion for social networking the old fashion way...............at the pub..............CHEERS :P :P :P :P
