Great to see you here Tom, just about to tell the guys about our conversation...
The way it can work is, members here can sign up and get a reduced rate of £22 for SACs membership, and then revert to the standard £30 pa after their first year.
However, as we have already discussed, if we all renew at the one time, we can continue to get the reduced rate every year. Now, we would have to organise this and administer it and work out a way to pay x12 X20 X30 (or however many members want to join) lots of £22 at the one time...
We could either forward sets of direct debit instructions, cheques or ???? SAC's don't take paypal at the moment but are working on it.
The other way is I set up a SAC's payment on the upcoming AGS Scotland online shop, then we transfer the money in a oner??
Thoughts guys??

I'm all for a group application and subsequent group renewals. It will maybe help to build the sense of community we're after on here! It also helps build upon the responsible and professional perception that we want the press and public to take heed of! Maybe it would also be worth keeping a register of insured members on this site?!? It could be of help when looking for permissions or for others seeking a some free vermin control!
As for the payment mechanics then lots of direct debits or cheques will be messy to handle if its all been directed through here first. Payment via the AGS online shop could work. Or we can all send paypal payments to one person who can then consolidate and issue one cheque on behalf of the group to SACS. Personal payments are commission free on paypal too!
Anyhoo, thats my tuppence worth!
Anyone else with any thoughts should get them down here soon so this can get moving! I, for one, see the SACS membership as a prerequsiite to me doing the rounds of possible local permissions.
Cheers
Dom
