Ros and Ronnie have decided they wish their memberships deleted, quoting that this forum is criticising our sport, it's full of negativity, that we are shaming the sport/hobby and slaughtering our sport instead of supporting it. I strongly disagree with these comments and have told them so.
AirGun Scotland is a forum full of varied members, but it's basically a bunch of good guys (and gals) who are passionate about their hobby and the banter is no different from any other forum on the net. If any member has an issue they can report it and it is sorted... I can't find any evidence to back up their claim, so I'm ignoring it.... (unless you know better) their memberships will be deleted in 7 days...
Ros also requested that we have a separate SARPA area, but as I gave them a free SARPA forum before and they canned it, I'm not keen on having a SARPA area when SARPA don't contribute to the running of this forum. They have their own site so they can have their own discussion area if that is what they want. I'm not being petty here, if people slag off AGS then why should AGS give them a freebie?
So, if you want to talk about Airguns, then that's what we are here to do.... if you want to talk SARPA, go to their website... You can google it... They don't plug us so I aint plugging them.... not petty, just how I feel after what has been said against AGS.
As ever, you can tell me I'm right, wrong, or just shrug your shoulders. You can vote on my poll. Since I'm a busy press photographer on run up to a general election, I ain't canvassing for votes... ;-)

Well, yes... maybe it's not important, but I take it seriously that some people slag off the forum. We try to be the best forum we can be, and it's not easy when you have over a thousand members. We are not an official body, or a negotiating body, we are a discussion forum.... we DISCUSS.

Most of the criticism and nagativity from what i can read seems to IMHO be from on a few members on here.
The majority seem happy in the way this forum is run, for those that do have any thoughts or suggestions in the way that it could be improved, then maybe this is the post to reply to and ask or make requests!

no one`s forcing anyone to be on here, if they would like their memberships deleted then so be it. i personally find this to be a great forum and enjoy reading everyones own views and oppinions, i dont and neva will agree with all of them all of the time but thats what its all about at the end of the days. we`re here to discuss, openly and freely, not to slag of and nay say

Let them go,this a forum which promotes freedom of speech, o.k. sometimes that speech is pedantic drivel (I might be guilty of this myself!
); but at least if AGS members want to argue and talk bollox!!, they can !!.We don`t need these mind games on this forum and Lenny has been more than fair with his poll; any other forum wouldn`t have shown Ros and Ronny this kindness and would simply have said "O.K.; you are deleted as requested!"

Just an update. I'd like to point out that the issues mentioned above appear to be that of Ros and Ronnie, not SARPA as a whole. I don't have a problem with SARPA, and I applaud all that they are doing. However, when people slag off AGS for no good reason and resort to personal insults then they are better off leaving here.
