OK after canavasing over 20 potential MPs round Grampian I have the results

All bar one want a regulation scheme in place if poweres are devolved , that one (green) wanted a complete BanPosted Image .

All (-1) understood our concerns, and did not want to impact legitimate use though the other greens objected to hunting with Airguns.

Proposal
Get a self regulation / retailer backed scheme in place before an external one is forced on us.

Regards
Graham
We will either find a way, or make one.

That would make sense if you were dealing with even faintly reasonable people, unfortunately the people you are dealing with mainly don't know (and don't care about) the difference between and air arms and an armalite.
To them "clamping down" on weapons of any sort is a vote winner, it doesn't matter what you do voluntarily, they just want to be seen "doing something". So the only way to protect our sport is to fight them and expose their lies at every opportunity.

and yes, I am writing to my MP('s) at every opportunity, we all need to, in conjunction with BASC, SACS etc and almost as importantly we need to keep writing to the press. That's where the real levers are and the really ridiculous lies are seen...
Theoben Fenman 0.22
Falcon Raptor 12" with Walnut Sporter Stock 0.22
Sharp Innova 0.22
HW35 0.177

and loads of pistols in the ladylike 0.177 cal ;-)
(and a couple in manly 0.22)

I aggree with smudge. MP's are not to be trusted, they have to be seen to be doing something and don't care if it will produce the right results, or if legal law abiding shooters suffer. Votes are the thing. We have to keep on at them and the press at every opportunity.

There must be lots of guys who would like to send a letter to their MP but don't know what to say or how.

It might be an idea if somebody, who is good at it, could post a letter here, that could be altered and adapted ( not copied and sent the same !). Just something to give guys ideas and the bones of a letter.

People could then pick bits of it, and add there own bits and then fire it of to MP's etc.

The more people who do this the better.

Just an idea!
