I've been getting a lot of feedback and it seems that some people don't want to post certain posts as they feel they may look like a newbie or get grief. So, we have a new member in here called...

Tin Chicken's Revenge

and he is an anonymous member, his opinions are those of a Tin Chicken, no-one elses. Anyone can log on as TCR, as we now like to call him, but keep it clean and legal. (posts will need to be approved first, for a trial period... although none of the moderators will be able to work out who is posting. This is to ensure nothing too nasty sneaks through!)

If you want to be the Tin Chicken, then log on with the following details..

Login: tcr
Pwd: anon

Who knows, I may even get T-Shirts in the future saying "I Shot T.C.R" and he will definetly be appearing at our Charity Shoot which will be announced in the future. Every grouy of people needs it's character, whether it's Stig in Top Gear or whoever, TCR is ours. He is no doubt about to get his own cartoon show soon! :D

Be nice to him folks, as apparently he is wanting revenge for all those pellets!!

Hello Guys

Not a criticism, just my opinion. I think the Tin Can Crow isnt the greatest idea. The idea of a public form with people freely discussing their views is negated by anonymous posts. If you have something to say surely you should be putting your name to it.

I do admit that it is funny for sarcastic comment however we should all feel free to state our own opinions without hiding behind anonimity.

As i said at the start of the post this is purely my opinion and i can see from the feedback that many people like it I just feel in a serious discussion you should put your name to your post.

Yes, I see what you mean, let's leave it for a week or so and discuss then?

If the anon post can be done seriously it has merit, IMHO, some people are loathe to post what they feel to be true and worthy of discussion, as they would get grief off others. If we moderate out the juvenile, malicious or libelous comments then it should work?

Just my opinions. and it is for all to debate..

I think it's a great idea Lenny, and one I would certainly have used before on other websites had such a facility been available.
There have often been subjects mooted that I have strong feelings about, but don't want to be judged by others for taking any particular side. This is a more up-to-date version of the old blackball technique, where a member of a group could make an anonymous and honest decision without fear of reprisal.

Just hope it's used with intelligence and respect.

That's my two squawks worth.

Hi Tin,

You make valid points, and if it is used with intelligence and respect it will stay. If it is mis-used then it will be taken away.

The moderators WILL be watching... B)
